Oil
This area is rich in energy. And also the oil fields discovered recently, evidence of natural gas supplies, although exploration is still required to explain its full potential.
The main problem is to describe the boundaries between the five countries surrounding the sea. Russia, Azerbaijan and Kazahkstan signed an agreement in 2003 to share 64% north sea as their own, although the two countries, Iran and Turkmenistan, did not agree. This seems to be causing the three countries agreed to the continued development of oil, Iran and Turkmenistan Development still seems unable to walk.
Today, Azerbaijan and Kazahkstan has received the largest increase in oil production - increased by 70% since 1992. Even so, the region is still getting less results from spending potential, with total regional production 1.6 million barrels (250,000 m³) per day - roughly equal to the production of Brazil. It is expected to triple by 2010.
